It's Swedish Mother's Day! And here we are. Three generations. Me and my mother and my daughter. It sounds so weird to say - my daughter. It means I'm a mother! For real! How did that happen? Somehow now I have become Mom and she is Grandma but every time I call myself mom I think of her. Right now we are like one being, the three of us. I wouldn't have believed in this ease of being just a year ago. We were struggling so much. But then Lea Luna came and here we are. Everything healed. We are together and we are so in love with being alive and it's Mother's Day and all is well. We went out for lunch to celebrate and it was terrible (because food poisoning maybe) and so lovely because we are each other's favorite humans.
As I'm writing this I almost feel bad - am I too happy? Are people going to get upset with me because there is too much joy in this and there are so many terrible things happening in parts of the world I can't connect to right now? I almost didn't post this because, fear, happiness, too-muchness. But then I look at little Lunis. And I know: there is no such thing as too much happiness. Joy is her very being! She has two dimples and she smiles at everyone who looks at her.
