#Buongiorno world! It's happy, sunny Sunday here, the day after the victory. These days I have been very silent here, and more present on other social media platforms (including a personal IG that I practically never use) to follow what was going on regarding the elections in #Iran. As usual, the electoral campaign takes all over our lives, as we try to make the most of that little democracy we have and engage as many people as possible. We showed up in millions, all over the globe, we cast our votes, we chose moderation and international interaction. I am very happy naturally, but it's such a bittersweet feeling to see your people dance to the song of victory in streets through a tiny screen. These are the moments that I miss being in Iran most. To live the collective dream, the unity in aspiration for something better for our future, for our children.
So I have left emails unread and unanswered, jobs on hold, home in the same mess that was a week ago. We take our elections very seriously, because we know elections take over our lives very seriously. (Eight years ago this time millions were marching the streets in protest and were being brutally repressed by the police while here we were protesting in other ways). So now I feel a bit drained, but I'm happy and ready to go back to get many things done (also because new exciting projects need to be announced soon).
In the meanwhile, those of you in Rome, can you lend me a projector for next weekend please?
