Traffic in #Bangalore is not for the faint of heart. But if @Uber wants to rule the world, it has to conquer India. The company now operates in 29 cities, including some of the world's most congested. Now, @Uber is heading to India, where roads tend to be terrible — clogged with traffic, potholes and pedestrians, and marked by ever-shifting routes and a freewheeling interpretation of automotive rules. Many drivers there don’t know how to use a smartphone app — the beating heart of the #Uber ecosystem — or they struggle to read basic maps. Regardless, @Uber is pouring money, engineers and logistical expertise into this nation of 1.3 billion people, what could one day be the world’s largest market for transportation services. The photographer @lokeatul captured this scene while on #nytassignment in Bangalore. Visit the link in our profile to read the full story. #???
