What if I told you you wouldn't die if you missed a meal? ? what if I told you that not eating for let's say a whopping 24 hours could actually BENEFIT you and your digestive tract? #fasting goes wayyyyy back and although health advocates are hesitant to admit it due to the stigma involved, it still has numerous benefits. When you get over the fact that you won't starve without food for a day you'll be pleased to find that no food actually makes MORE room for energy and you'll feel better both mentally and physically. I wouldn't say I'm religious about it, but I do try to fast one day out of the week. I tend to somewhat employ intermittent fasting into my routine without even being conscious about it. (This is phase 3 of my jumpstart program). I work out first thing in the morning and can't stomach in a full meal so my first meal is usually after the gym simply because it works best with my schedule and lifestyle. Giving your digestive system a break can actually help regulate digestion as ironic as it may sound anddddd it helps prevent aging ?. There's plenty of ways to do it and depending on YOUR schedule and lifestyle the way you implement it is completely up to you! There is no 'one size fits all' approach to #nutrition and #diet.
