One of the last portraits of Winston Churchill from life, Gerald Scarfe's drawing records the politician's final appearance in the House of Commons before his death a few months later. Commissioned by The Sunday Times to record this historic occasion, Scarfe's portrait was in fact never published by the newspaper in case it upset Churchill's wife Clementine.
