The photographer @ilvynjio captured a #goat inspecting the contents of an unsupervised stroller at Geitenboerderij Ridammerhoeve, a biodynamic #goatfarm in a sprawling forest on the southern edge of #Amsterdam. The city is a bit of an urban jungle, with apartments stacked tightly in 3- and 4-story buildings. Streets are congested with cars, trams, buses and ever-present bicycles. But thanks to Dutch tradition and some clever planning, almost every city neighborhood has either a petting zoo or a children’s farm. Corine Riteco founded the goat farm with her husband in 1988, wanting to demonstrate the benefits of organic farming to an urban population. “We liked the goats because they’re such pleasant animals, and they like the attention of people who come in,” she told @nytimestravel.
