Cy Twombly’s masterpiece Leda and the Swan, 1962, will be a highlight of our May Post-War and Contemporary Evening Sale.

This tour de force of painting has resided within a private collection for over 25 years and has not been seen publicly during this time. Never before seen at auction, Leda and the Swan is one of two large format masterpieces to emerge from this subject, with its sister painting of the same title among the most popular works on view at @ニューヨーク近代美術館 in New York.
