Photo by @Gerd Ludwig // Not far from the Italian city of Bolzano, Runkelstein Castle sits on a rocky spur high above the Talfer River. The medieval castle is home to one of the largest preserved medieval fresco cycles, dating back to the year 1400. This photograph is included in my new book, “Minus 2/3 The Invisible Flash: Crafting Light for Photographers in the field” which is now available in both English and German editions.
