#Flashback to Cuba in 1984. While still living in my native Germany and together with a small group of journalists, I was invited by the Cuban government to visit their island - an obvious effort to boost European tourism to the country. The highlight of our stay was a tour through a factory where employees - most of them female - were hand-rolling premium cigars while often smoking themselves.
