This field work is hardest work that I have ever seen anyone preform, 12-14 hours of work for 2000.00 to 4000.00 per year. But as hard as this work is the cane cutters are being replaced by machines and very sad to lose these jobs and the culture that goes with it. I think it is important to think about this back breaking labor, these jobs are going to be lost, in a poorer country then the United States. A lot of jobs that have gone away in this country are not coming back, it makes no economic sense no matter what people are told or want to believe.
