In 1938, the Duchess of Windsor suggested the idea of the now-iconic 'Zip' #necklace to @ヴァンクリーフ&アーペル artistic director Renée Puissant. In 1951, the first model was presented to the public, designed as an adjustable model that could be worn open around the neck or closed as a bracelet.
