We're hanging the first work of #BowieCollector, which opens to the public in London at midday on the 1st of November until midday on the 10th of November.

The first work to go up is Louis le Brocquy's 'Image of James Joyce' from the artist's Head Series. Inspired by Polynesian heads from the collection of Musée de l'Homme, Paris, and Celtic head culture, le Brocquy painted evocative heads of literary figures and fellow artists. These included W. B. Yeats, his friends Samuel Beckett, Francis Bacon and Seamus Heaney, and showing here the modernist avant-garde Irish novelist and poet, James Joyce.
