In 1959, the Parker Pen Company commissioned Norman Rockwell to illustrate a series of ads featuring the Parked 61 for its holiday campaign. ‘She Gave Me a Parker 61 (Happy Birthday to Dad)’, ‘He Sent me a Parker Pen (Write Home Often)’ and ‘They Gave Each Other a Parker 61 (Fair Exchange)’ pictured here complete the set of advertisements that partnered a luxury American company from Wisconsin with a quintessential American artist. These oil paintings, and many more, are on display today til 5pm, and tomorrow 1-5pm. Swing by 1334 York Avenue for a complete look at our upcoming sale of American Art.
