Nine long years ago I was a very irresponsible 19yr old, absolutely petrified of childbirth and heartbroken by the married older couples proudly holding hands in the hospital around me as I waited embarrassingly alone to become a young single mother. I accepted I'd be a lone parent but that didn't mean I knew how to yet when Millisent was born she changed my life entirely, taught me the meaning of true love, patience, selflessness and the strength to stand on my own two feet in this world without relying on anyone else. Now she's a very sensible nine year old young lady and my son Gabriele has joined us on our journey in life as a single parent family but do you know what? We're the happiest little trio you could ever meet. The love we have for one another is immeasurable and without my babies I wouldn't be half the woman that I am today.
