Kyle Shanahan thought there was a shortage of coffee shops in Sag Harbor, New York. “And nothing goes better with coffee than doughnuts,” Kyle said. So he opened his own coffee shop, Grindstone Coffee and Donuts, with help from his stepfather, @chefsymon. @grindstonecoffee’s #doughnuts are yeasted, but made from brioche dough, so they have a denser, more caky consistency than most. Each day Kyle produces 4 classics and 4 special doughnuts, like one gleaming with chocolate glaze and a popcorn topping and another with lemon-poppy seed icing.
