Not just for the cinema: Took a virtual look at Jewel Changi Airport using these 3D spectacles this morning, at the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) new Academic Tower in Bishan.

By ‘building’ a structure ‘virtually’ first, we can identify and fix problems before actual construction starts. Building Information Modelling, or BIM, is one way the BCA is streamlining building construction, which will reduce our reliance on foreign workers.
There is an old proverb: “measure twice, cut once”. BCA has put a new spin on that, with “Build Twice: First Virtual, Then Real”. :) – LHL (MCI Photo by Chwee)
