This interval workout is designed to build speed and endurance. The distance is short, but the pace is fast. Warming up is especially crucial before a Speed Run, so don’t forget to jog for four to eight minutes at an easy pace, then stretch, before you begin.

Run 200m intervals, alternating between your 5K pace and mile pace.

Take 60 seconds of recovery between each.
Listen to your body.

Based on your personal fitness level, complete between 16 and 24 total intervals.
