You may have seen that on Saturday I posted a sunbathing picture whilst I was laying in my garden studying. The picture was a point of view showing my new stomach tattoo through my cleavage just as you would in a bikini on the beach. Nothing rude was on show, no nipples or intimate lady parts considering topless is rated as a 12+ and Facebook users have to be older to have a profile, I was simply praising the freedom we all have to not worry about our bodies when we're at home. In public we try so hard to disguise our bodies, wearing baggy clothes if we feel bloated or compression garments on a night out to hide our bulges, nipping, tucking and disguising our weight like it is something to be ashamed of. Bodies are not shameful and it's only society that makes them that way. We are all unique, we are all human and we all deserve to feel confident in our own skin from giggling bouncing babies splashing in the bath to 99yr old ladies walking down the beach in a swimsuit. Let's ditch this modern day criticism, cattiness and derogatory view of sexualisation and unashamedly be ourselves without the fear of offending others. My post was removed from facebook without warning or notice after receiving over 300,000 views and shares in a single afternoon and it received such a positive and supportive response. Instagram and Twitter are still displaying it.
