Spritz culture may be ingrained in the cities and towns of northern Italy. But the drink hasn't been as popular in the U.S. since the 1970s and '80s, when white wine spritzers were a thing. Today, American mixologists are shaking up traditional notions of the Italian #cocktail import. @llamainnnyc mixes gin, fino sherry, strawberry shrub, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, Peychaud’s bitters, cava and Perrier for its Señorita #Spritz. The pretty pink concoction, captured by @pablo.enriquez for @nytfood, tastes a lot like a fruity, fizzy glass of rosé. Visit the link in our profile to discover more spritzes worth raising your glass to. And because it's Friday: cheers! ?
