Today, British voters made a choice that could matter more for their future than any ordinary election. The question: Should the #UK remain in the #EuropeanUnion, as @ukprimeminister David Cameron has urged, or leave, as favored by many members of his Conservative Party? Last week, @adamfergusonphoto took this photograph at an amusement park in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex, a declining British resort town in which residents strongly #Brexit, the British exit. The local member of Parliament defected from the Conservatives and was elected under the banner of the anti-Europe, anti-immigration UK Independence Party, or UKIP.
