The basketball courts on Pier 2 at @brooklynbridgepark, where @alexwroblewskiphoto took this photo, draw players from all around New York. They come for the million-dollar views of Lower #Manhattan, as well as amenities not always found on humble home courts — like actual nets on the hoops. But courtside fights, which were punctuated by gunfire in April, have prompted the police, at times, to shut down the pier. While some residents in the well-off neighborhood beside the park portray the pier as a gathering place for gangs, some players believe neighbors' complaints have more to do with their background than their behavior.
