Update on Trey:
Today's surgery went well. His scapula was removed due to infection along with some necrotic tissue. Everything was cleaned out thoroughly and he is on a strong antibiotic and pain meds. This has been such a rough week for him with major surgeries. This is a lot for a 3 month old kitten but he is a fighter and so far things look significantly more promising than Saturday night when I first posted about him. Please see that post for his story. ?
He'll be monitored around the clock for the next few days to make sure he's stable and to keep an eye on drainage/infection. Hopefully the worst is behind him so he can just heal and get ready to come back to us soon to reunite with his brother. ?
Keep the purrrayers and good vibes coming. Your support and compassion for this little guy is felt by many and so touching!
He is putting up one heck of a fight and we will all continue to fight for him together. ?

Thank you all for showing me, my family, Trey, @goodkarmapetrescue , his vet, surgical team, and everyone else pulling for him that generosity and kindness is still alive and well with all of the negative things that are going on in the world. To see so many people come together to save the life of a kitten they don't even know is more moving than I can find words for especially since he became this critical because the people that did this (accidentally) didn't think his life was important enough to call out for help for him. They let him hobble around for at least a weekend before a brave young man working there found out about it & spoke up for him.
I'm honored to have such an inspirational story to share and we couldn't have come this far without your help! ??
