Quick update on Trey, amputee kitty.... This pic is of his brother Trenton passed out in the sink with a silk floral decoration he knocked in there. More on him in a sec... Today Trey was stabilizing nicely and looking much better according to the hospital. The vet cleaned out the wound and decided it was best to continue antibiotics and fluids for tonight to further stabilize and will likely do the scapula surgery tomorrow. Keep the purrrayers and good vibes coming ??! @goodkarmapetrescue is overrun with amazement and gratitude for the donations that came in since the first post last night. We also had a little help from @katdenningsss who shared the post to her fans. I knew I could count on you guys to help. It takes a village, a group effort, a team for these severe injury saves but it's well worth it. Together we are saving him and from the bottom of my heart and @goodkarmapetrescue's heart, thank you so very much!! ? We will keep the updates coming as soon as the vet or Good Karma gets them to us. Ok, so this pic is Trenton, his brother who did nothing but hiss and growl protecting Trey (and meowing for him aaallll night looknnnngg last night looking for him) til mid day today when he decided to give me a chance. After a few minutes of head strokes he was on his back fully submissive as if he were a house cat. And until Wednesday I don't think he's ever been touched by a human hand. Now that he knows the love we have to give, you can't walk into the room without him wanting to be on you. He will be available for adoption hopefully with Trey as a duo. We have to get Trey better and see how they do together when he comes back to us to foster. In the meantime I'll be making a lovebug out of Trenton. Ok, thanks again everyone!!
