Sydney Track Classic- #1500m I think my face even here, early on in the race, shows how I felt last night, just no energy and completely different to other races this season. I had a virus after nationals 2 weeks ago and then felt better for a few days but then got sick again a few days ago and was hoping I would still be fine to race. But it did affect me and I felt tired even in warm up and flat from the start of the race and I had nothing left when the girls kicked. I finished in 4.15.01. Then had to go and vomit haha lovely. Pretty disappointing especially after having been in good shape but I know I can take something from it and it's all part of the journey. These kind of disappointments make my good results even more rewarding! Performances can be up and down but I'm so grateful that God's love is constant and our results don't change his love for us. Well done to @heidisee_ on the win @linden.hall on second and @gengen_lacaze on 3rd, awesome race and finish!! All the best for Aussie nationals!! It's good timing for my end of season week off that started today so hopefully I can get over this cold quickly- resting heart rate was about 13 beats higher than my normal average this morning (definitely recommend doing daily resting heart rate- good way to monitor your training and health). Thanks to everyone for the ongoing support, means so much! So will enjoy having 7 days off (and some easter treats) then back into my build up for Rio!!!! Very excited for my international season which kicks off with Japan in May then Europe in June!!
