Really happy and grateful to win my 5th Consecutive National 800m title today here in Dunedin! After all the hard training we do day after day- moments like this are really special and it's all thanks to God for the talent and helping me every step of the way, through the ups and downs! Certainly couldn't do it without the support I have too, especially Maria who has coached me for 11 years now and my husbands Sams support and my amazing parents! Ran 2.02.09, was hoping for a bit quicker but all in good time!
Well done to Ariana on coming second and Flora for third!! So inspired by some INCREDIBLE results today- especially @エリザ・マッカートニー breaking another NZ record and getting the Oceania record in the pole-vault 4.80!!! Also to @william_stedman qualifying for Rio in the 800m and @fi.morrison getting a NZ residents record in the hurdles in a massive pb!!! Well done to everyone else who competed, it's not just about the results but also the journey!!!
