We haven't had a proper track in Christchurch (only grass) since the 2011 earthquake but we make do without one, it's fine training on the grass track when it's dry but when it's wet we resort to other options- Timaru all weather track (2.5 hour drive) or the road or like last night for my 300s- a shingle track. You still get the hard work done and it feels great when you get on the track to race!
