“You change,” Sam Shepard told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ. “You go through all kinds of contortions. But the play is the same.” The 72-year-old playwright and actor has returned to New York for the @thenewgroupnyc’s revival of his play “Buried Child,” a wrenching family drama — part comedy, part tragedy, part mystery, part horror show. The play, which premiered in San Francisco in 1978 and moved to New York a few months later, won the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1979 and helped transform #SamShepard from a fringe writer to a major playwright.
