Simple, heathy & nutritious breakfast? -I started off with two toasted slices of Flax Ezekiel bread. I do my best to keep gluten out of my diet because I feel bloated and sluggish after consuming anything that contains it, but I've found that sprouted wheat doesn't aggravate me in the least. - I added 1 tbsp of Trader Joe's creamy almond butter (if you follow my snap you know I'm obsessticles with this stuff and it only has 1 ingredient: almonds???) & 1 tbsp of dairy-free vegan cream cheese substitute. I completely cut dairy out of my diet a few months back and have never felt better. It has always caused inflammation in my joints, especially my bad knee, and makes my asthma flare so giving it up wasn't too difficult. - On the cream cheese toast I added blueberries and hemp hearts. Berries are high in antioxidants and fiber and low in sugar! Hemp is one of the most sustainable crops on the planet and the hearts are a complete protein source and high in heart healthy fats. They have a light nutty taste that pairs well with breakfast dishes and salads.? - I topped my almond butter with sliced bananas and strawberries then sprinkled some cinnamon on top. More nutrient dense fruit and antioxidants to start my day and prepare my body to perform at its best. The great thing about these toasts is that you can make them in so many ways! You can grab any fruit, nut, seed, or spread and create your own!
