This beautifully preserved picture by Flemish master Jan #Gossaert, called #Mabuse is the most significant early Netherlandish painting to come to auction in the 21st century. It is just one of only two depictions of the Madonna and Child painted by the artist in the 1520s and 1530s remaining in private hands.
