Plyometric training: a type of training that involves the muscles exerting maximum force in the shortest amount of time. This usually means jumping!

When I first started my fitness journey, I would do cardio and lift weights, but I would always see more definition on my upper body due to the nature of my fat distribution. When I get lean, I have very little fat up top and my lower body tends to stay in a time warp.?
While you can't pick and choose where you lose and keep your fat, you can do things to help shed stubborn fat-especially if it tends to gather around your hips and thighs.
Plyometric training requires you to exert large amounts of explosive energy in a very short amount of time, getting the heart rate up and the calories burning very quickly.
I have been doing 2 plyometric workouts each week for the past 3 years and it's a huge part of how I was able to keep the size of my legs while improving their defenition. Basically, Plyos have helped me lose fat on my lower body like nothing else has!
