Photo by @daviddoubilet A baby nile crocodile hides in a veil of algae just beneath the surface of the Ncamasere Channel in the deepwater panhandle region of the #OkavangoDelta. The tiny crocs were nearly invisible among the lily stalks and remained still when you approached them. Working in the delta was like diving inside a monet painting as we swam through swaying lily gardens and beneath golden papyrus mats that formed a ceiling above us. It was one of our most challenging and rewarding @ナショナルジオグラフィック assignments because of the danger of diving with hippos and crocs but the absolute gift of diving in completely unexplored ecosystems.
