Now that was a day of professional surfing. 20 heats, throaty tubes, huge airs, perfect tens, local wildcard upsets and a world title race blown wide apart. ADS, Fanning, Wilson and Wright all gone, Toledo and Medina through to the quarters. If Medina wins he takes the Jeep Leaderboard. If Filipe wins he jumps to second. And now going to Pipe, Wright and Wilson have a mathematical chance. Oh and Player's Player was local Frederico Morais (@fredericomoraiis), who dismantled Fanning and then went on to the quarters.
