Hurricane Patricia strengthened further over night and is now the strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Western Hemisphere with 200mph wind. Furthermore, it now also has the lowest central pressure ever recorded in Western Hemisphere at an ear popping 880mb. Patricia is forecast to turn toward Mexico later today and looks likely to make landfall as a potentially catastrophic Cat 5 storm.
