The American Himalayan Foundation @himfdn reaches 300,000 people each year. Refugees, orphans, education and human trafficking are direct ways that human life is improved. In remote areas the @himfdn works to preserve and understand Himalayan culture. ••• Once a year the AHF hosts a fundraising event. This year the plan was for the @ダライ・ラマ14世 to speak on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Alas he will not be able to share his wisdom. Given the challenges of the April earthquake in Nepal the AHF still plans on celebrating his work and the people of the Himalaya. ••• Join us on Friday the 16th of October in San Francisco with author Pico Ayer, actor Richard Gere and Senator Diane Feinstein.
