A year ago an avalanche swept @liz_daley to her death. Loss in the mountains is never easy. Family and friends are faced with emptiness. A person radiant and inspiring because of her passion is taken by the very activity that brings her life.
Memorials heal and offer solace to those closest. They can offer inspiration to people who did not know her and give them a chance to reflect on their own existence.
Liz loved being in the mountains. The pull of gravity, be it at her finger tips on a cliff or under her feet on snow, was her source of happiness.
Her friends in Tacoma, WA have the goal of building an outdoor boulder for children, teens and adults to play on. Indeed. This is what Liz would want. A rock for all to share in a place that meant so much to her.
