Today at The Singapore Summit 2015, Piyush Gupta asked me a few GE2015 questions, including “Why the hurry to retire?” I replied that while my colleagues and I may not be old, we’re not getting younger either! We actively plan our political succession because we want to assure Singaporeans, and others watching us, that Singapore will be well taken care of in the future.
