This Imperial Gilt-Bronze Ritual Bell, dated to the eighth year of the Qianlong period, (1743 in the Western calendar) will be offered in our 15–16 September Important Chinese Art sale. Currently on exhibition in #NY, this bell was once owned by the newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst. Hearst was such an avid collector that he accounted for 25% of the world’s art market during the 1920-30s. #SothebysAsianArt
