This quaint town in Northern #Iceland is home to the Herring Era Museum, which tells the tale of #Siglufjordur’s heyday as a fishing boomtown. I toured the part of the museum housed in this red building, which has rooms frozen in the 1960s when “herring girls” packed themselves into tight living quarters while they made a living packing herring that came in from laden fishing boats. #Iceland #NGExpeditions #Arctic
