A #cyclist on a walkway on the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, the only direct route by foot between the #Bronx and Randalls Island. The Bronx is closer to the island than any other borough — in some places, it's only 50 feet across a narrow waterway known as the Bronx Kill. But many people find it so difficult to reach the island’s playing fields, bike trails and nature areas that they just don’t go. Now after years of delays, the city plans to open a new pedestrian and bike route from the Bronx to #RandallsIsland later this summer.
