"I personally don’t remember taking this shot of #JerryLeeLewis! That’s rare for me — usually, once I see a photo I’ve made, no matter how long ago, I’m there, right back in the moment. Many photographers will tell you the same thing — that’s the power of photography. Fortunately, however, my 'log book' remembers! The photo was made in March 1969, at Steve Paul’s 'Scene,' a nightclub that was located in the basement of 301 West 46th Street in New York City’s theater district. What is particularly unique and hugely significant about this photo is that it’s very, very rare to see pianist Jerry Lee Lewis playing the guitar. People who encounter the shot are astounded. 'I didn’t know he played the guitar,' they say incredulously. But he does, and he did, and here’s the picture to prove it!" As told to @Rolling Stone by photographer @baronwolman
