“I wondered how much Jeremy (@howulivinpiven) would be like Ari Gold. He seemed a bit more reserved, with the same confidence, but not the poor manners of Ari. We shot at his Hollywood apartment, which had great classic iconic rock & roll photographs on the wall and a killer couch. I wanted to show this and was surprised when he killed the shot I was composing. It seemed he didn’t want his personal things or space to be in the frame, so I quickly looked outside his front door in the hallway and found a cool fire escape — a rare thing in Los Angeles. I suggested we throw on some music — I always have a travel speaker on hand with my phone. He chose Mumford & Sons and instantly his vibe mellowed.
