"I always look forward to photographing #ZakkWylde. However, this image took a while to come to fruition. Zakk didn’t stray from his microphone during the first few songs of #BlackLabelSociety’s set, which was not the way I intended to portray him. I wanted to capture Zakk Wylde in all of his Viking glory — hair flying everywhere. It wasn’t until the third song of the set that he jumped on to a riser and seemingly lost himself within his own music. I knew right away that I had captured a moment in time that every kid who has ever picked up a guitar dreams of — to lose yourself within your own music in front of 10,000 screaming fans."
