Safety in numbers. Animals form flocks, herds, gaggles and packs to survive. As climbers, protection in numbers might equate to a secure belay or a pitch that doesn't have a nasty reputation. Perhaps the deepest form of safety in numbers is how we come out to support each other in times of need. ▶️ Each of has a home crag. A place where the holds are so familiar they are like shaking hands with an old friend and the placements are reliable each & every time. We venture out in the big ocean of the vertical world, being guests at some one else's home crag. This is what makes us better climbers and, moreover, allows us to meet the colorful characters that form our tribe of gravity. ▶️ In times of need we can't do big things alone. We team up and pool our insight, dedication and resources. For the Donner Summit cliffs, hewn of fine Sierra granite, the time is now for us to find strength in numbers.
