Peter Croft on The Wicked West of the Witch, The Needles, California. This .10+ two pitch face climb sports 2 cam placements, 3 rusty button head bolts (⏰?) and a few slung flakes. It wanders up immaculate edges and knobs in an airy and improbable location. Established in the late 70s from the ground up, this climb exemplifies the bold style pioneered on the granite cliffs of California. With sparse protection and serious consequences for mistakes these climbs are not for everyone. I'm glad these climbs of courage are around as they keep mystery alive.
