A lure for movie stars in the 1950's and 60’s, the Salton Sea was expected to become the next Las Vegas, with fancy hotels, a Yacht Club, marinas, and golf courses. But environmental problems led to its decay and turned it into California’s most troubled lake. Now its tourists can only imagine the former splendor of the city’s flooded marina.
