Suicide Forest - #006: Mountain azalea blossom at “Aokigahara Forest” that lies at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. It is usually called as “Jukai” -- literally “See of Trees”. However, it is often called as “Suicide Forest”, since it is the popular site for suicides. Japanese suicide rate used to be not so high. Yet, due to the dramatic increase of the economic disparity for the last two decades as well as the culture of stigma, the country suffers with very high suicide rate that has become a significant national social issue.
