Photo: @randyolson | @thephotosociety with @melissafarlow and @pablocorralvega in Ecuador. 20 years ago I photographed a simple monument that marked the equator outside Quito. That has grown into a megaplex with everything you can imagine. The monument (small at the bottom of this photo) marks the equator but with modern GPS technology they now know the equator lies 240 meters north of where they placed the monument!
