I had the opportunity to swim and chat with this friendly minke whale in Australia a few years ago. Minke's are the smallest baleen whale. They can hold their breath for 20 minutes while they are diving & they can swim up to 38km's (24mph). Typically they live to 30 to 60 years old… Their brains have around 12.8 billion neocortical neurons and 98.2 billion neocortical glia.
Whales can be great teachers, with such capacity for humanity, if we chose to listen.
