イザベル・ルーカスさんのインスタグラム動画 - (イザベル・ルーカスInstagram)「almost 7 years ago I was sent this beautiful song, ‘i promise’ written and played by alex kozabolis. for me it’s like a silver thread, a moment of respite. i was going through a challenging chapter. healing from a heartbreak and working overseas in a foreign city on an unremitting job that had me digging deep to keep my head above water. one evening after filming i somehow slipped in the shower. waking up on the tiles with a beating concussion to the shrill of the kettle coming from the kitchen. i took myself to three different hospitals before it was possible to get cat-scan checked. fortunately the results were fine, but i was on my edge. and i felt as lonely as ever. on my way home a friend texted me this piece of music. it felt like a hug from the universe. it met me in the way i didn’t know i needed. i played it on repeat for weeks, like a healing balm. i’m grateful for that time now. grateful for the resilience that was untapped in me through the job. and grateful for the person who sent it. i was reminded how heartbreak can also be a heart-opener. stripping us back to our barest essentials, to that which can never be eroded. i believe it to be love. at this time in our world, i remind myself of this. that the willingness for humans to keeping feeling, despite excruciating pain, has to be one of most pro-life, bravest things we can do… to me, it’s one of the most beautiful things about humanity. may heartbreak, and the world’s heartbreak, bring us to our compassion. . . . a few months later i befriended @alex_kozobolis on insta, asked if he’d be open to making a video together. …all these years later we got to it. i asked my brilliant friends @annikaglac and marcus struzina if they would create with me. with alex in england, and us in melbourne, we wove this together. if you like, i’d love to hear how do you feel when you listen to this piece… x ♾ (see video on YouTube via @alex_kozobolis)」10月13日 17時14分
