Machu Picchu in the Cusco Region of Urabamba Province in Peru. Incans had built the site around 1450, but abandoned it about a century later. It was brought to international attention in 1911 when Hiram Bingham opened it to the outside world. While on a National Geographic "Around the World by Private Jet"Expedition, I photographed this one of many llamas that inhabit the site.
